Advanced Global Intercompany System (AGIS): A Case Study is the title of the presentation to be given at Oracle Open World by ESG's Ravi Shankar. Oracle Open World is the largest event dedicated to helping companies understand and harness the power of information. The event, held in San Francisco, allows attendees to connect with thousands of other Oracle application, technology, and solution users and providers, as well as gain insight from featured keynotes and industry leaders.
Due to the complicated nature of the processes and functions it simplifies, and that only a small amount of consultants are familiar with the application, AGIS, a powerful application designed to handle the complex intercompany accounting and processing requirements of global corporations, it has become a hot topic for Oracle and its sizable EBS clients. Ravi will be speaking on how AGIS has evolved over the last few years and how the application now leverages the core building blocks of EBS R12 architecture, its ease of use for a global company that shares the same Oracle Application instance, and how the application needs to be properly configured to enable all of its invaluable features. Core features and nuances will also be covered, as well as guidance on steps for a successful implementation.
Mr. Shankar has specialized in project and program management, as well as functional architecture, of Oracle Projects, Financials, Manufacturing, HRMS, Supply Chain, and Intelligence Suite of products. His expertise stems from 25 years experience in finance, accounting, commercial operations, and human resources; a professional Accounting designation and coveted PMP and PgMP designations; and 12 years of experience implementing and managing Oracle Applications.
