Sean McGuire Presents on FAH Implementation Options at Oracle Open World 2009 Print
Monday, 05 October 2009 10:56

The Oracle Financials Accounting Hub (FAH) Focus Group has organized a meeting during Oracle Open World to discuss the key features of FAH. System integrators and current live clients were invited to share their experiences and overall benefits of using FAH. Mr. McGuire will share expertise garnered from his extensive involvement in two large-scale FAH implementations to include various building blocks and options to design the application effectively. In addition, Mr. McGuire will also serve as a panel member for an open panel discussion on FAH.

FAH is a robust application through which legacy transactions can be interfaced and integrated with the General Ledger (GL). Through the design of transaction objects and use of its attributes, appropriate rule-based accounting events can be created through which journal entries can be created and transferred to the GL. Transactions from the GL can be drilled into the Hub. Further, supporting references (similar to DFF) can be structured in the Hub to store and accumulate balances relted to a specific account.

Mr. McGuire is a certified Project Management Professional and his expertise with Oracle eBusiness Suite comes from 15 years as an Oracle Functional and Technical Architect. Before coming to ESG, Mr. McGuire worked for Oracle directing a portfolio of consulting engagements as well as being the solution architect for Oracle Consulting's large complex implementations.
